ABSTRACT
Professor Tadeusz Trzaska (1940–2024) was a pioneering Polish orthopedic surgeon whose work transformed arthroscopy and knee surgery in Poland. As one of the founders of Polish arthroscopy, he introduced minimally invasive techniques and performed some of the country’s first knee arthroscopies, establishing Puszczykowo as a leading center. A clinical innovator, educator, European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA) member, and mentor, he trained generations of surgeons. His scientific and educational legacy continues to shape modern Polish sports traumatology and orthopedic practice.
